Introduction

The procurement of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) equipment is a key component of Guyana’s Just Energy Transition (JET) Seed Funding Initiative, aimed at enhancing the country’s renewable energy infrastructure while promoting clean and sustainable energy solutions.  This initiative aligns with Guyana’s Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) 2030, which prioritizes the integration of solar energy into national energy systems, reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and the development of modern energy-efficient infrastructure.  By utilizing solar energy to power essential facilities, this intervention supports Guyana’s commitment to energy transition, environmental sustainability, and economic resilience.  The work will consist of the supply of solar photovoltaic (PV) equipment.  After delivery to Guyana, the solar PV array is expected to be mounted at the top of the structure and offer shade for the vehicles parked beneath.
