Description of the Assignment:
The assignment involves supporting the implementation of an integrated watershed management project in Lesotho by developing and strengthening monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems. The consultant will conduct a document review, train project staff and stakeholders, develop a monitoring plan and budget, and create user-friendly tools and manuals. The goal is to ensure effective tracking of project outcomes and build long-term institutional capacity for sustainable land and water management. The work will be completed over 20 days within two months, starting in July 2025.
The M&E Consultant will:
- Conduct a desk review to inform communication and knowledge management strategies.
- Train implementing partners and stakeholders on:
- Monitoring plans and budgets.
- Reporting templates.
- Field monitoring and feedback.
- Project cycle management and theory of change.
- Strategic planning and results-based M&E.
- Develop and implement a robust M&E system.
- Support the creation of costed implementation and M&E plans.
- Produce user-friendly operational manuals/toolkits.
Period of assignment : 20 working days spread over 2 months (starting July 2025)
