3.4.4 Supply and installation of greenhouse movable shading and mechanical ventilation systems for the AgriBOOST project in Butuan City, Philippines

Description of Services 

  • Supply and installation of 25 units movable shading systems.
    • Materials specifications:
      • Minimum 3mm-diameter transparent polyester wires. 
      • 40% black shade net of standard per roll size 6m wide by 42m long. 
      • Approximately 350 pieces of shade net clips.
      • Cable ties.
    • Installation specifications: Check the terms of reference to see the detailed specifications
  • Supply and installation of 2 units mechanical ventilation systems.
    • Materials specifications:
      • One (1) unit of solar-powered 6V-19V brushless DC motor 35W solar roof ventilator with 60cm by 60cm by 30cm vent or attic fan type (standard sizes).
      • Two (2) units of 220V AC single-phase 60Hz 180W 40cm-diameter air circulation fans with stainless steel frame and hanging bracket mounting mechanism.
      • Minimum 1 inch-diameter schedule 20 galvanized iron pipes.

AgriBOOST, one of the winning initiatives of the 2021 Global Mayors Challenge, is an agri-ecosystem innovation that enhances farmer capacities and catalyzes market forces for a sustainable, food-secure and vibrant local community. AgriBOOST provides local farmers with information about food demand and business owners with a reliable, high-quality, and affordable supply of fresh vegetables. AgriBOOST has four components – AgriBloom, AgriMart, AgriHub and AgriBOOST Comms. 

AgriBloom aims to increase local farmers’ income and local vegetable production by working with farmers to strengthen their capacity to produce and earn more through production support assistance, extension service, technology demonstrations, and trainings on best practices and technologies.
