BACKGROUND:
UNDP provides integrated programmatic, policy and financing solutions to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this context, UNDP has created a Global Policy Network (GPN), a network of field-based and global technical expertise across a wide range of knowledge domains and in support of the signature solutions and organizational capabilities envisioned in the Strategic Plan. The Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS) and the Crisis Bureau (CB) are the two anchor Bureaus of the GPN.
UNDP is working closely with cities and local governments to showcase how they are actively contributing to implement Agenda 2030, accelerating transformative action to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals for all, and everywhere.
AgriBOOST, one of the winning initiatives of the 2021 Global Mayors Challenge, is an agri-ecosystem innovation that enhances farmer capacities and catalyzes market forces for a sustainable, food-secure and vibrant local community. AgriBOOST provides local farmers with information about food demand and business owners with a reliable, high-quality, and affordable supply of fresh vegetables. AgriBOOST has four components – AgriBloom, AgriMart, AgriHub and AgriBOOST Comms.
The AgriHub Operator, Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, Inc., is assisted by the City Government of Butuan (CGB) through trainings, infrastructure, equipment, and technology support. AgriMart aims to revitalize trading partners and improve consumer touchpoints for easier and improved consumer experience through empowering trade partners by providing planning tools, marketing and promotion support, and training and capacity development. AgriBOOST Comms includes the delivery of all communication and engagement strategies to support AgriBOOST. This includes both internal and external to the city, farmers, education sector, youth and women sector, culinary partners, brand development and other partnerships as required.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to engage a provider to produce communication materials (multimedia and print) that documents the AgriBOOST project in Butuan City, Philippines.
