EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Invitation for Data-driven Fintech Lenders to Apply for UNCDF Financing and Technical Assistance to Support MSMEs Led or Owned by Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Uganda.
Through this Expression of Interest (EOI), eligible applicants may apply for concessional loans to on-lend to MSMEs for two core purposes: (1) working capital, and (2) digital device financing. Device financing is meant to help MSMEs acquire essential digital tools—such as mobile phones, Laptops, tablets, POS systems, accounting software, and CRM systems—to enhance their operational efficiency, improve financial management, and expand market access.
Applicants who qualify for concessional loans may also request complementary grant support. Two grant instruments are available: Seed Capital Grants, and Working Capital Grants.
UNCDF may further provide technical assistance to help applicants strengthen their business models, refine product design, and improve delivery channels—especially to better serve young women-led MSMEs.
A pre-application Meeting / Q&A between UNCDF and Prospective Applicants will be held on 5th August 2025 at 2:00 PM EAT
UNCDF is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
