Introduction
Purpose of the Assignment
The Brokerage & Deal-Making Manager will serve as the lead transaction specialist for BSIP, responsible for converting listed opportunities into closed investments. The incumbent will build strategic investor relationships, source high-quality projects, and structure bankable deals. A key focus will be piloting asset aggregation and pooling strategies to enhance the attractiveness of investment bundles for institutional investors.
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Deal Origination & Pipeline Development
1. Identify and onboard biodiversity-related projects with strong investment potential.
2. Maintain a dynamic pipeline of bankable deals aligned with investor mandates and biodiversity priorities.
3. Support project developers in enhancing business models, governance, and investment readiness, including pooled fund development.
B. Investor Engagement & Relationship Management
4. Cultivate and maintain relationships with domestic and international investors, including Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), private equity, corporates, family offices, and philanthropic foundations.
5. Match BSIP-listed projects with suitable investors, customizing opportunities to fit investor profiles.
6. Organize investor briefings, roadshows, and targeted deal-matching sessions, including a virtual Biodiversity Investment Showcase in Q4 2025.
C. Transaction Structuring & Negotiation
7. Structure deals using innovative financial instruments such as blended finance, Public- Private Partnerships, and risk mitigation tools.
8. Lead negotiations to secure terms that balance biodiversity outcomes with financial returns.
9. Facilitate due diligence and support the execution of investment agreements.
D. Market Intelligence & Promotion
10. Monitor global and domestic biodiversity finance trends, investor appetite, and policy developments.
11. Develop investment teasers, pitch decks, and sector briefs using BSIP data.
12. Represent BSIP at key investment forums locally, regionally, and internationally.
E. Monitoring, Reporting & Impact Measurement
13. Maintain accurate records of investor/project engagements, transaction status, and capital mobilized.
14. Submit quarterly reports on deal closures, capital leveraged, and biodiversity impacts.
15. Contribute to BSIP’s knowledge products, case studies, and promotional content.
