Introduction
1. SCOPE OF WORKS:
The consultant shall perform the following tasks:
3.1 Visual Structural Assessment
- Conduct a full structural inspection of the water tank (shaft, bowl, and access structures).
- Identify visible signs of spalling, cracking, corrosion, leakage, or deformation.
- Document findings with annotated, geo-referenced photos and diagrams.
3.2 Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
- Perform hammer tapping across the tank surface to detect delaminated areas.
- Conduct Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) testing to evaluate internal voids or cracks.
- Assess reinforcement corrosion using Half-Cell Potential Testing and cover meter scanning.
3.3 Structural Diagnosis and Mapping
- Prepare damage maps highlighting types and severity of deterioration.
- Provide summary tables of observations, test results, and preliminary conclusions.
3.4 Rehabilitation Detailed Design
The consultant shall prepare and submit a full Rehabilitation Detailed Design that includes:
- Selection of appropriate repair techniques (e.g., concrete patching, epoxy injection, rebar treatment).
- Design and specifications of repair materials and protective coatings.
- Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for all repair works.
- Estimated cost and repair timeline.
- Engineering drawings or schematics of proposed repairs.
- Site safety measures and access considerations.
- Recommended maintenance schedule post-repair.
