Country: Bangladesh
Description of the Assignment: To strengthen the capacity of National Institute of Local Government (NILG) master trainers for conducting training on local level budgeting and planning for LGIs in selected IP Sustainable Finance working locations.
The specific objective of this assignment are to:
a. Conduct Training Needs Assessment (TNA) of LGIs in coastal districts on Climate Responsive Local Planning and Budgeting by visiting the UPs and UZPs.
b. Review and update the training modules and guideline on Climate Responsive Local Planning and Budgeting by integrating Local Adaptation Plan of Action (LAPA) and the Climate Vulnerability Index (CVI) for LGIs.
c. Review and analyze the stock-take of tools related to climate responsive budgeting and planning at local level. Provide recommendations for improvement through stock-take.
d. Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) for NILG pool of Master Trainers for conducting trainings on climate responsive budgeting and planning at the local level.
e. Support UNDP and NILG in conducting Upazila level training and provide feedback on NILG’s training session.
Period of assignment/services: October 1, 2025 to March 20, 2026 (50 days in 5 months)
