1. STRENGTHENING LOCAL CAPACITATES FOR RESILIENCE AND RECOVERY – SLCRR project
“Strengthening Local Capacities for Resilience and Recovery” is a multi-phase, multi-year project that is directly implemented by UNDP Libya and funded mainly by the European Union.
The Third phase aims at enhancing provision of basic services at local level and increasing access for most vulnerable groups from host communities – including Internally Displaced Populations (IDPs) and returnees – as well as migrants and refugees. This second phase is implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Local Governance, Municipalities, UNICEF and Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
To respond to the many challenges people in Libya are facing, UNDP approach is to help the local authorities to restore security, essential services delivery and livelihoods opportunities putting the country on a more robust development path.
2. PROJECT BACKGROUND
a. Project description
The project is the construction of Football Pitch in Bent-Baya Municipality, Libya, located in the city of Bent Baya to provide a modern playground environment for fans for individuals and organizations.
b. Beneficiaries
This project will benefit all fans to attend any event of all groups.
3. Location
The project is located in the city of Bent Baya: (26°33'36.2"N 13°14'32.5"E).
4. Building/ Construction description
The project targets construct soccer field with its service building containing office, toilets, walkways and lighting system.
5. Works brief
The Rehabilitation/construction project includes civil, plumbing, sanitary and electrical works. Below is the important and summary of the required works, for more details refer to BOQ, the work shall include but not limited to the following:
a. The contractor must fulfill the QA/QC together with project time schedule on MS project before the commencement of the project.
b. The civil part of the works includes but are not limited to building and fence foundations, site preparation( the survey works must be done by total station and level), earthworks, Plain Concrete Works, Reinforced Concrete Works, Masonry works, Plastering Works, Painting Works, ceramic, marbles, artificial grass and lighting system, as indicated on the BoQ and drawings.
c. The plumbing, sanitary works include but are not limited to ceramic hand wash basin installation, piping, electrical water heater, water tank, skeptic tank and installation of pump, as indicated on the BoQ.
d. The electrical works include but are not limited to lighting, installation of main distribution board/panel, Led lighting, lighting switch, sockets outlets and field lighting system, as indicated on the BoQ.
e. Air-conditioning works include but are not limited to split units with Tropical climate(T3) with inverters.
6. DURATION OF THE PROJECT
The estimated duration of the project is 90 (Ninety) calendar days from the site-handover date.
