Introduction

Post Title:  Junior Consultant for project coordination support in Japan

Project Name: Bangkok Regional Hub/Pacific GX Project and JSB Global Plastics Innovation Programe-II; and Climate Hub, BPPS/Climate Promise JSB global project

Country of Assignment: Primarily home based. Presence in Japan is required (Expected to report to the UNDP Tokyo Office for approximately 30 % of working days, i.e. once a week)

Duration of Assignment: Up to 75 working days (spread over a period until 31 March 2026)

UNDP drives sustainable development by integrating efforts at global, regional, and local levels to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through the Global Policy Network (GPN), it offers expertise in areas like disaster risk reduction, energy, and poverty. The UNDP Climate Hub supports countries in fulfilling their Paris Agreement commitments via the Climate Promise initiative, offering technical and financial support for climate action, especially in vulnerable regions. In partnership with Japan, the Pacific GX Project promotes green transformation in Pacific Island countries. The Junior Consultant will support these Japan-funded initiatives, managing events, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring effective project delivery.

If any discrepancy between the deadline in the system and in deadline indicated elsewhere, the deadline in the system prevails.
