Description of the Assignment: 


The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Nepal is currently implementing a project Strengthening Health resilience in Nepal-HIV, TB & Malaria (Global Fund) that requires the services of a National Consultant for Biosafety, Bio Security and Biorepository Policy and Audit Tool Development to perform the work described as per the attached Terms of Reference (ToR) – Annex 1. 


Objectives of the assignment 

To bridge these gaps, qualified national and/or international consultants will be engaged to 

Revise and update existing national guidelines for biosafety and biosecurity to align with international and national best practices

Develop a standardized Biosafety and security audit tool for laboratory assessments.

Formulate comprehensive national policies and protocols for biorepository and high threat pathogen management


Period of assignment/services (if applicable):  75 days spread over three months
