Introduction
The primary objective of this assignment is to design, pilot, and deliver a context-specific financial literacy training program tailored to the needs of women in Guinea-Bissau, particularly those engaged in agricultural and food system value chains. The initiative supports Output 2.4 of the Joint Programme on Food Systems Transformation and Sustainable Financing, which seeks to build financial capacities among vulnerable populations, enhance their access to financial services, and strengthen their economic resilience.Specifically, the assignment aims to:
• Develop modular and culturally appropriate financial literacy training materials in accessible formats and languages.
• Build the capacity of women entrepreneurs, smallholder farmers, and informal sector participants in rural and peri-urban areas.
• Support the National Financial Inclusion Strategy by embedding the training into broader inclusive finance and entrepreneurship frameworks.
• Enhance women’s decision-making power in managing resources, engaging in economic activities, and accessing credit or savings schemes.
