RFQ- For the Supply of Truck Weighbridge for a landfill

Introduction

Scope of Work: Weighbridge System Dire Dawa Landfill Site


 1.   Supply and Delivery

 ·         The bidder shall supply, deliver, and offload the specified weighbridge system equipment to the Dire Dawa landfill site.

·         All equipment must comply with international standards and be suitable for heavy-duty landfill operations.

 2. Installation and Commissioning

 ·         The bidder shall install and commission the weighbridge system, ensuring it is fully operational and calibrated to required standards.

 ·         Foundation Works / Installation:

o    The bidder shall provide technical advice, including technical drawings, specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BoQ), for the civil works construction of the weighbridge foundation.

o    The actual concrete foundation will be constructed under a separate contract, but the bidder must ensure that all technical specifications are met.

o    Minor civil work required during installations such as anchoring, leveling, and assembly onto the concrete foundation—shall be carried out by the bidder.

·     Approach Ramps:

 o  The bidder shall provide technical advice (drawings, specifications, and BoQ) for the construction of reinforced concrete approach ramps.

o  The actual civil work for ramps will be undertaken separately; however, the bidder must ensure compatibility between ramps and weighbridge design.

o  The bidder shall design and install a bridging mechanism between the concrete approach ramps and the weighbridge platform.

 3. Training

·         The bidder shall provide comprehensive training to operational and maintenance staff.

·         Training shall cover:

o    Proper usage and daily operation of the weighbridge.

o    Calibration procedures.

o    Routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

4.   Warranty and Support

·         The bidder shall provide a warranty period (2 years) covering all equipment, software, and installation works.

·         After-sales technical support must include:

o    Guaranteed response times for service calls.

o    Availability of spare parts within a reasonable timeframe.

o    Clear communication channels for technical support requests.

·         Documentation and Support:

o    Prepare detailed as-built drawings and operation manuals for both systems.

o    Offer post-installation technical support and warranty services as agreed.
