Introduction

SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of this assignment is to provide full-stack web development services to design, build, and integrate the Energy–Development Modeling Platform and advance the Sustainable Energy Academy platform within UNDP’s digital infrastructure. The work will cover all stages of architecture design, interface implementation, system integration, and optimization, ensuring both platforms operate seamlessly and efficiently within the UNDP Sustainable Energy Digital Intelligence Platform.

1. Interactive Dashboard Frontend Development - The contractor will develop an intuitive and visually coherent dashboard that allows users to explore and compare development scenarios interactively. This includes creating parameter controls for scenario selection, implementing real-time updates to charts and visualizations, and building comparative views that enable side-by-side analysis of results.  Export features will be developed to allow users to generate and download analytical outputs and reports in multiple formats.

2. Modeling Backend and Data Architecture - The contractor will design and implement database structures and systems necessary to store, retrieve, and display scenario results securely and efficiently. This includes back-end development optimization and adherence to responsive and accessibility standards. Comprehensive documentation will be prepared covering system architecture, API structures, deployment procedures, and maintenance protocols.

3. Sustainable Energy Academy Enhancement - The contractor will refine and expand the existing Sustainable Energy Academy learning platform to improve its functionality, interactivity, and performance. This includes finalizing data-driven chart and infographic templates, implementing technical fixes and configuration updates to the Knowledge Graph interface, and ensuring markdown rendering and structured content presentation within the chat environment. The scope also includes integrating an additional module, improving user navigation, enhancing responsiveness, and developing a hotspot-based interaction feature to support deeper engagement with learning materials.
