Introduction

UNDP Cabo Verde, in partnership with the Direção-Geral das Telecomunicações e Economia Digital (DGTED), seeks to conduct an AI Landscape Assessment (AILA) to evaluate Cabo Verde’s readiness to adopt, govern, and leverage Artificial Intelligence for sustainable development. The assessment will inform policy recommendations and a national roadmap for ethical and inclusive AI deployment.


Scope of Work

The consultant will:

  • Organize and support inception sessions introducing AILA methodology.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping across government, academia, private sector, and civil society.
  • Facilitate surveys, interviews, and workshops.
  • Analyze data and draft the AILA report.
  • Prepare policy recommendations and roadmap for AI governance.
