Dear Candidate,


The Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is carrying out Caribbean Evaluation Synthesis and is seeking for a senior synthesis evaluator consultant Through an Individual Contract (IC).


The overall purpose of this subregional synthesis study is to strengthen learning within UNDP and to support evidence-based decision-making and delivery of programme results in the Caribbean. The results of this synthesis are expected to promote programmatic learning based on UNDP evidence-based knowledge of its past performance. This synthesis is envisioned to influence current programmatic efforts to deliver results around UNDP's six signature solutions within the Caribbean and support the broader adoption of lessons in similar regions.

 

The Caribbean is a subregion of Latin America, surrounded by the North Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, which includes three major archipelagos (the Greater Antilles, the Lesser Antilles, and the Lucayan Archipelago) also known as the West Indies, and the surrounding coasts of the Caribbean Sea, which includes the Caribbean coastlines of some Central and South American mainland countries, such as Belize, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana
