Introduction

Rehabilitation of Oxygen plant hall in Hawija Hospital-Hawij-Kirkuk Government

 

1.      PROJECT BACKGROUND

a.      Project description

Oxygen plant hall locates at Hawija district center/Kirkuk governorate. Its area about 175 square meters, one story building, and it produce the essential oxygen for patients in Hawija Hospital, which contains the pediatric ward, Hospital operating room, and maternity hall.

b.      Direct and indirect beneficiaries

                                                              i.      Direct beneficiaries:  All patients of inside Hawija District and surrounding villages and 70 employees and 10 doctors three of them female.

                                                            ii.      Indirect beneficiaries:  population of part of Hawija 240,000 people (20,247 male and 30,370 female)

c.       Impact and how it will be measured (quantitative measures)

Restoration of basic health services for the patients, resulting in better health in the population of Hawija center and surrounding villages. And the building works as Oxygen plant.

3.      BUILDING/CONSTRUCTION DESCRIPTION

Oxygen plant hall building built from unit’s masonry block with concrete frame, it consists of one hall that contains the hall plant inside.

 

4.      DESCRIPTION OF THE DAMAGE

The area was affected by explosions, the Oxygen plant hall building totally destroyed.

 

 

 

5.      WORKS ON BRIEF

The rehabilitation of Oxygen plant hall work includes civil, electrical and mechanical works.

a.       The civil part of the works includes but not limited to site preparation, Excavation Works, filling works, Reinforced Concrete Foundation, construction of walls, Parapet, roofing system, Cement Plastering, painting, Exterior Surround Sidewalk, Floor Protection coating, Steel Ladder, Aluminum windows, steel doors, and Billboard  as indicated on the BoQ.

b.      The electrical works includes but not limited to Socket Switch, Spot Lighting fixture, Exhaust fan Industrial Type, Split Unit Air-Conditioning (2.5 ton), Electrical Cables,  Sub Distribution Boards ( 12 ways), Main Board, Fire Detection System, Transformer 250KVA, H-Pole Shape for Transformers, Lattice 11m poles, ACSR conductor, Earthing System as indicated on the BoQ.

c.       The mechanical works includes but not limited to Oil-free reciprocating compressor as indicated on the BoQ.

 

6.      DURATION OF THE PROJECT

150 Calendar days.
