Introduction

The UNDP Mauritius Country Office supported the Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (FAREI) in the development of Bazar Moris, an open-source and cloud- hosted e-Market platform for the trading of fresh vegetables and 

fruits  in Mauritius. The platform was officially launched in October 2022 and is hosted at  www.bazarmoris.mu.  Bazar Moris supports small scale farmers/ planters for the commercialization of their produce. Currently, there are only a few active

users on the platform, trading in fruits and vegetables sector. FAREI is seeking boost up usage and trade on the platform through promotion and digital marketing of the eMarket place.

 In support of FAREI, UNDP seeks to hire a service provider to offer the following services:

1.  Extending the eMarket place to other sectors
• Conducting a market assessment for other potential sectors e.g. fishing
2.  Promoting the eMarket place
• Supporting UNDP and FAREI in raising awareness about the marketplace to the public in general
3. Maintenance and support of the System.
