Description of the Assignment:
The consultant will be expected to work closely with the Effective Governance Digital Democracy team, government, and CSOs to provide support in the following areas.
i) Assist in mapping key local stakeholders and potential partners. Conceptualization and drafting of the CSO grant scheme for digital democracy. The theme of the grants shall revolve around community training and awareness raising, with a strong focus on women empowerment, youth, and persons with disabilities.
The grants shall focus on the topics of:
a) digital literacy, digital rights, and e-participation.
b) right to freedom of information in the context of information integrity / disinformation and
c) gender equality and gender-based violence.
ii) Provide orientation and mentoring support to CSO grantees during the implementation of the project on digital transformation and constructive community engagement.
iii) Providing inputs and / or quality assurance to the training modules on digital literacy, data analysis, and safety online for CSOs.
iv) Support development and running of Government – CSO Technical Working Groups for ICT. The CTA shall help prepare CSOs for the dialogue, following the principles of constructive engagement.
v) Perform other technical activities related to the project, such as technical support to designing conference agenda etc.
Period of assignment/services (if applicable): June 2023 - May 2024
