Introduction :
ASEZA project aims to improve the management and operation of the Aqaba marine reserve through applying the best practices for the management of marine protected areas and contribute to conserve unique and globally significant marine biodiversity in Aqaba. The project has twelve main outputs including the following: Output 1: Improving the reserve management facilities Output 2: The provision of signage system Output 3. Prepare and implement relevant capacity development strategy Output4. Prepare and implement conservation management plan and eco-tourism development plan Output 5. Design a patrolling and monitoring program for the reserve Output 6. Socio economic profile Output 7. Socio-economic program for local communities Output 8: Implement awareness and outreach program Output 9: Obtaining Blue flag certification for a selected segment of the reserve coastline Output 10: Enhancing the Resilience of the marine reserve Output 11: International Recognition of the marine reserve Output 12. Establishing the design work for the proposed Marine Science Park
