PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Partnerships are essential for achieving our common goals of sustainable development. Effective collaboration between governments, civil society, private sector, and international organizations can help to achieve great results that would be difficult to attain alone. The “Partnership for Change” side event during the UN’s High-Level Political Forum celebrates 30 years of partnership between Kazakhstan and UNDP, showcasing the impact of our collaboration in advancing digital development to tackle inequalities. This event is a testimony to the power of partnerships and serves as an inspiration to continue building and strengthening partnerships for sustainable development.

The event will focus on the achievements of the longstanding partnership between Kazakhstan and the UNDP over the past 30 years, particularly on the historic co-financing mechanism of $30 million from the Government of Kazakhstan to UNDP's Country Programme. This financing mechanism is a testament to the mutual trust and collaboration that exists between the two entities. The event will also feature the flagship initiative of the partnership, the Digital Family Card, which is an innovative govtech designed to tackle inequalities using a whole-of-government approach. This breakthrough innovation enables the efficient delivery of services and facilitates coordination between different government agencies.

To go forward with the implementation of an immersive experience of the Digital Family Card and provide expert and advisory support to the national company in developing the VR experience, the Project will engage an International Consultant.
