Introduction :
Conduct Media awareness on social cohesion in Sri Lanka

This campaign has two components.

1.Development of 30 second advertisements/info clips in Sinhalese, Tamil and English (for TV and Digital Platforms)

The selected service provider will develop 30-second TV advertisements/info clips; 6 in Sinhalese, 6 in Tamil and 3 in English, showcasing messages that promote social cohesion and content that can raise awareness on spread of hate speech, disinformation, gendered dimensions, communal solidarity and roles and responsibilities of the citizen at a time of crisis.

The service provider is also expected to obtain the related slots for the advertisements in national TV channels AND the respective digital media platforms of the selected channels. (3 Sinhalese channels, 3 Tamil channels and 3 English) for the duration of 6 months. The adverts/info clips should be aired on the prime-time belts on the respective channels.  Proposals submitted for consideration should provide details of the slots the agency is able to obtain for the advertisements, with approximate viewership details, cost breakdown, belt, frequency and online boosting costs (if required) should be provided.
Frequency of the adverts/info clips should be 15 slots per month in one language, in one channel.

2. Obtaining slots for TV awareness program (debate programs/intellectual discussions) at stations with wide viewership/followers

With the objective of bringing topics related to addressing the issues of spread of hate speech, disinformation and promotion of social cohesion, gendered dimensions, resilience amidst an economic crisis to the forefront among the general public, awareness on these topics should be raised within society in a manner that the message reaches a large populace. For the above deliverable, 3 media companies will be proposed by the selected company. The final selection of the said media companies will be done in consultation with the UNDP. These three media companies should comprise networks that operate in all three languages (Sinhalese, Tamil and English).

The program will have to be aired 2 programs on each channel once a month and will have to be conducted in Sinhalese and Tamil in the respective media channels.
