Introduction :

Long Term Agreement (LTA) for the provision of engineering due diligence support services for the GCF Samoa Project.

Description of the expected outputs to be delivered:
Support UNDP in carrying out engineering due diligence on infrastructural designs (e.g. drainage designs to mitigate flood prone areas by coastline), studies such as sewage system feasibility study, assessments and analysis (e.g. GHD engineering assessment on risk analysis for flood-mitigation infrastructure), environmental and social management studies and plans (e.g. floodwall construction Environment and Social Management Plan), progress and supervision reports (e.g. floodwall construction monthly supervision reports) that are provided by the Government- and UNDP-appointed engineering firms.

The due diligence is required to ensure the integrity of the flood-mitigation infrastructure under the GCF Samoa Project. The role of the LTA holder(s) is to review, make recommendations and advise UNDP and the Government of Samoa on appropriate corrective actions to ensure compliance with the relevant engineering requirements of UNDP and GCF and internationally recognized standards. Please refer to the TOR for detailed scope of work.

The LTA will be established for a period of 25 months starting from December 2022 to January 2025. It is expected that the LTA holder(s) will be engaged for an approximate 75 days per year during the LTA period. Please note the number of days indicated shall serve as a reference purpose only, and not guaranteed volume, and this should not be considered as promise to do the business with the selected Service Provider(s). The number is provided to reflect the potential level of engagement.
UNDP will issue a call-off order as and when there is a need for the required services. However, UNDP does not warranty that any quantity of services will be purchased during the term of the LTA period.
