United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is an international development agency that is helping the country to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience to sustain development results.
UNDP organizes high-level meetings, conferences, training and workshops which often require the provision of catering services. These events can vary in size and location and are hosted for a variety of internal and external participants including high-level dignitaries, stakeholders from the private sector and civil society, donors, other UN agencies, and UN staff members.
UNDP Malaysia Country Office, on behalf of the participating UN Agencies wishes to enter into a Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) with one or more competent Catering Services Provider to provide Catering services. Some other UN Agencies may piggy-back on UNDP LTA to establish their LTAs.
The UN is an international organization with a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual population that represents member nations from throughout the world. Bidders are expected to demonstrate their ability to meet varied tastes, preferences and cultural backgrounds of this diverse population.
UNDP does not warrant that any quantity of Services will be purchased during the terms of this Agreement, which shall be in force for one (1) year and with possibility to renew it thereafter for a maximum of another one (1) year, subject to supplier’s satisfactory performance, competitiveness of prices, and continuing needs of the organization. The resulting Long-Term Agreement(s) will also be open for other UN projects and counterparts to utilize.
While UNDP intends to establish the LTAs, there is no fixed committed contract amount. Once the contract is established with the winning vendor, orders for such services will be placed through the Purchase Orders and the General Condition and Terms of Contract will be in force.
