Introduction
The Development for Renewable Energy Applications Mainstreaming and Market Sustainability (DREAMS) Project is a five-year project being implemented by the Department of Energy (DOE) through its Renewable Energy Management Bureau (REMB) in partnership with the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The DREAMS project has a Support Fund for Renewable Energy (SF4RE) to leverage investments for RE projects that will lead towards an increase in RE-based installed capacity. SF4RE provides support in the form of goods and technical assistance to Local Government Units (LGUs) for them to be able to implement local Renewable Energy (RE) projects in off-grid areas or far-flung communities with economic potentials and integrate RE policies and projects and investments in their local plans.
