Introduction :
The objective of the assignment to support just transition and build resilience of communities residing around abandoned/closed mines by providing information, knowledge and capacity in the setting up and managing a value addition unit involving agricultural, horticultural or non-timber forest produce crop. The assignment aims to provide need based customised capacity building support to 400 women and farmers in post-harvest management, market access, operation of value addition unit to improve their earning capabilities. It is expected that at least 50% of the beneficiaries will be female under this assignment.
