The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) is the UN capital investment agency for the world’s 49 least developed countries. It promotes inclusive and sustainable growth by creating new opportunities for poor people, small businesses and local governments.

 

UNCDF focuses on Africa and the poorest countries of Asia, with a special commitment to challenging environments – remote rural areas and countries emerging from conflict. It provides seed capital – grants and loans – and technical support through Inclusive Finance programmes to help microfinance institutions reach more poor households and small businesses; and through Local Development Finance programmes to strengthen public financial management systems and improve infrastructure investment and delivery of basic services by local governments.

 

Scope of Services, Expected Outputs and Target Completion

 

The firm will maintain the current UNCDF corporate public website www.uncdf.org and the UNCDF corporate Intranet http://intra.uncdf.org/ with the following, but not limited to, the following tasks:

 

Maintenance: Site Management, Content Management, Database Management

Development:

• Design and development of a new site for a new UNCDF initiative, the FIELD Fund.
• Work as part of a team to ensure coherence and integration between uncdf.org site and intra.uncdf.org sites.
• Develop any new requirement (functionality, new technology, database) based on needs.
• Ensure proper implementation of any customized plug-ins/modules for our mobile site with UNCDF’s look and feel.
• Research mobile application options for uncdf.org, including the possibility of customizing.
