Overview
United Nations Development Programme within the framework of the project “Sustainable Development of the System of Social Protection of the Population: Promotion of Programs on Social Integration and Inclusion” announce a competition of grant projects aimed at piloting the model of independent living for young people with disabilities, including those with mental disorders, as part of the de-institutionalization of medical and social organizations.
The purpose of the grant: to pilot and promote the innovative forms and models of independent accompanied living for people with disabilities aged from 18 to 40 years.
The projects should be focused on:
- Social adaptation of young people with developmental disabilities, their inclusion in the society by creating conditions for preparing them for independent living and employment;
- Formation of a tolerant attitude of society towards people with disabilities;
- Development of the concept of the service of accompanied accommodation of persons with severe developmental disabilities.
