The purpose of this procurement exercise is to contract an individual consultant who will provide a background check service for candidates being considered for UNDP appointments/positions.
Under the supervision of the Office of Human Resources Deputy Director and Chief of HRM and working closely with Team Leaders in the HR Integrated Solutions unit, HRM cluster; the consultant will develop a web-based solution that will help in handling background checks for UNDP candidates being considered for employment or appointment. UNDP intends to develop a platform which will enable to:
- Perform background checks on selected candidates for various positions within UNDP on all contractual modalities by querying them against a centralize database which is maintained by UN Secretariat;
- Increase the response time, effectiveness and communication with the Country offices by automating background check process which is currently handled manually with no automation or no business process is in place.
- Offer senior Managers and Recruitment Focal points to access the background check service through user friendly interface seamlessly without any additional user profile creation.
- Utilize existing infrastructure to avoid any cost, maintenance and training of all the stakeholders involved in the recruitment process
