Dear Proponents,
Based on the inquiry from some of the proponents the following clarification has been made for Call for Proposal (CFP) No.: UNW-ECO-CFP-2019-005 Enhancing Psychosocial Support and Economic Empowerment of Women and Girl Survivors of Violence in Harar Region.
1. Under component 6(i.e., Result Based Budget), bullet 4 says;
- Indirect costs, or administrative overhead costs, such as staff salaries and office rent are not funded. These therefore should not be part of the funding request.
We are not clear on how the indirect costs like staff salaries and office rent will be covered. As your good office knows these costs are unavoidable in order to materialize the intended project successfully.
Please note for running safe house Indirect costs, or administrative overhead costs such as salaries are part of the running of the safe house and will be considered as such.
- Under expenditure category of result matrix 1 page 23; it is stated that Equipment/Material is N/A.
In here also we fail to understand by the mentioned statement of “Equipment/Material is N/A”. Needless to mention in here that, violence and abuse victim survivors need basic need service in order to be psychologically and physically rehabilitated. To materialize this therefore, kitchen and feeding utensils, day and night time cloth, sleeping beds, mattresses, bed sheet, pillow, personal hygiene materials, dignitary kit/sanitary pads etc, are needed. These equipments have considerable cost implication that we cannot escape in here too.
Hence, we need your clarification on how to bear this cost to implement the project.
Please also note that since running of shelters is also establishment of the shelters; Equipment/Material will be considered.
