Overview

The United Nations Development Programme in Kazakhstan within the framework of the project “Strengthening Community Resilience and Regional Cooperation for Prevention of Violent Extremism Conducive to Terrorism in Central Asia” is extending a competition for grants among non‑governmental/non-commercial organizations for supporting initiatives and action plans of vulnerable youth in target areas of Aktobe and Karaganda oblasts.

The purpose of the grant: to identify the non-profit sector partners of Aktobe (Kandyagash, Shubarkuduk, Shalkar) and Karaganda (Zhezkazgan, Satpayev, Balkhash) oblasts for conduction and administration of the small grants programme to support the initiatives of vulnerable youth.

The projects should be focused on:

  • Supporting and implementing initiatives/action plans of vulnerable youth in target areas
  • Strengthening community resilience
  • Improving access of vulnerable youth to quality social and economic services;

Proposals should be submitted to Ms. Aliya Seitzhan at aliya.seitzhan@undp.org, please cc Ms. Dana Oraz at dana.oraz@undp.org. The deadline for submission of proposals is Monday, 10 February 2020, 18:00 Nur-Sultan time.
