Overview : The consultant will be responsible for conducting the Assessment of SGBV Service Providers. The consultant will work under the direct supervision of the TJHR Project team and in consultation with the TRRC. The consultant will carry out the following activities: Develop the assessment tools Conduct a through assessment of the services of SGBV support service providers Engage with key stakeholders including the Ministry of Health, The Gambia Police Force, The National Agency for Legal Aid, key UN Agencies including UNICEF, UNFPA, OHCHR and UNDP, Ministry of Justice, Child Protection Alliance, Women in Leaders and Liberation, Network Against Gender-Based Violence, Female Lawyers Association Gambia, Gambia Center for Victims of Human Rights Violations, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Produce a comprehensive and analytical report with findings and key recommendations
The assessment methodology will include: • Desk research/ Secondary data review of both qualitative and quantitative data • Semi-structured key informant interviews and focus group discussions as appropriate with victims, service providers, service users, technocrats, policy makers and key stakeholders • Site visits and observations Deliverables: The assessment tools First draft of assessment report that identifies key institutions involved in the prevention and response to SGBV in The Gambia which assess their capacity gaps and makes concrete recommendations.
