| Overview : The general objective of this assignment is to support the Government of Rwanda to enhance NDC implementation and monitoring processes through provision of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS online licenses, image processing packages and deliver training and coaching for developing soil erosion control maps and App development, focusing on both effectiveness and efficiency of erosion control measures. The hired firm will equip the Government of Rwanda with software and related skills to monitor soil erosion and its control in Rwanda, specifically in the perspective of diversified agro-ecological zones and various agriculture lands. Thereafter, imagery data will support in developing monitoring application tools to optimize Monitoring Information System (starting with 3 pilot districts: Kirehe, Muhanga and Burera), to develop a strategy and investment plan for erosion control and water resources management under NDC. Addition to erosion control baseline and mapping of priority areas of intervention, the information, which will be extracted from spatial analysis and imagery feature extraction, will be used to quantify interventions as well as assessing their benefits and efficiency in agriculture and other linked sectors. |
