| Overview : Dear Sir/Madam, UNDP is the knowledge frontier organization for sustainable development in the UN Development System and serves as the integrator for collective action to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UNDP’s policy work carried out at HQ, Regional and Country Office levels, forms a contiguous spectrum of deep local knowledge to cutting-edge global perspectives and advocacy. In this context, UNDP invests in the Global Policy Network (GPN), a network of field-based and global technical expertise across a wide range of knowledge domains and in support of the signature solutions and organizational capabilities envisioned in the Strategic Plan. The purpose of this procurement exercise is to contract an individual consultant who support UNDP, CB to fragility engagement with the EU, with regards to talent pools, partnerships and contract management. Contribute to the strengthening of the collaboration and deployments through Standby Partner organizations and development of new partnerships with SPBs, networks, thinks tanks etc. Contribute to the enhancement of the partnership with the UNV Office and the rolling of the UNDP UNV Tandem Initiative; UNDP/CB is looking for a qualified Deployment & Partnerships to provide support to the following: The junior economist will provide support in the following tasks in the context of the team’s country (and regional) support on digital SEIAs: - Support the Crisis Bureau’s crisis and fragility engagement with the EU, with regards to talent pools, partnerships and contract management
- Contribute to the strengthening of the collaboration and deployments through Standby Partner organizations and development of new partnerships with SPBs, networks, thinks tanks etc.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the partnership with the UNV Office and the rolling of the UNDP UNV Tandem Initiative;
- Coordinate the deployment of internal and external technical expertise for crisis response, recovery and GPN assignments, for specific high profile engagements and responses
