Overview :

The joint OHCHR and UNDP Transitional Justice and Human Rights Project Management Unit seeks to support the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) with the design, development, and deployment of a database/case management system. The National Human Rights Commission Act 2017 established the NHRC and its primary function is to promote and protect human rights. The NHRC is a permanent institution with the first cohort of five Commissioners sworn into office in February 2019. Given that consideration of alleged human rights violations and complaints is part of the functions of the NHRC, a well-developed case management system is essential in supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the Commission in this area.

2. Objectives of consultancy

  • To create a secure user-friendly database that allows for the easy capture of various stages of the complaints process query of information gathered information-sharing protocol, and the ability to produce reports as required.

  • To provide encrypted complainant information with the aid of a coding system that is user-friendly, secure, confidential, and durable.

  • Scope of Work

Working closely with the NHRC, this assignment is to design, develop, train users on, deploy and maintain a customized user-friendly database that is easy to navigate.
