| Overview : Botswana UN Resident Coordinator’s Office (UNRCO) and UN Women have identified a number of gaps in the short-to-medium term in gender work that needs coverage until a longer-term solution can be found. These gaps relate to needing a Gender Specialist to support the areas of: Coordination and Knowledge Management, Programme development and management; Strategic advice to the UN RC and UNCT in promoting women's rights and gender equality in the country; Representation, Resource Mobilisation and Partnership Building. As such, UN Women and the Botswana UNRCO are co-financing a consultant to provide short-term support as a Gender Specialist to provide support in the following areas: Gender analysis and support to the CCA and the CF development processes being carried out in 2020-21; Secretariat of the Gender and Human Rights Theme Group; Support to the Gender Joint Programme; UN Women deliverables under the Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS; UN Women deliverables under the SDG Fund |
