| Overview : The main purpose of the assignment is to reframe and refocus the Revised NPRD (2002). The assignment will include an assessment of existing Rural Development Agenda against socio-economic and spatial developments that have taken place locally and globally since its inception in 2002 and recommend progressive and sustainable rural development policy areas. THE SCOPE OF WORK The Consultants will undertake the following tasks; Undertake a desktop review of the RNPRD (2002)
Review rural development strategies and programmes (e.g. LIMID, ISPAAD, RADP,YDF)
Review the current national development planning frameworks; Vision 2036, NDP11, Transformation agenda, and determine the extent to which they encompass rural development
Review global trends on rural development |
