Overview :

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites suitable resources CSOs/NGOs to submit information for potential partnership with UNDP in in delivering outputs under the project “Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) Phase II (2018 – 2022)” requiring expertise and experience in the area of “Increasing industry revenue sources for safeguarding biodiversity and environmental management” in Koh Tao, Surat Thani province, as follows: • Component 1: collection of a user charge for tourists either upon arrival or departure; and • Component 2: management of the user charge for biodiversity safeguarding and environmental conservation purposes. Two main outputs under these two components are as follows: • Establishment of the finance mechanism for the collection of user charge including legal framework (municipal ordinance) and the payment gateway system to collect the money. • Establishment of the local entity to manage the user charge for conservation and environmental management including structure, gender, responsibility, function, etc. This includes capacity building of an organization to ensure that the financial management is effectively earmarked for the activities to safeguard the biodiversity and manage the environment. A completed RFI with requested attachments must be submitted through online E-Tendering system.
