Overview : UNDP Vietnam is seeking for an International consultant (Soil specialist) for GCF1 project “Improving the resilience of vulnerable coastal communities to climate change related impacts in Viet Nam”. The consultant is expected to provide some main tasks: - Provide technical guidance inputs to the national consulting firm on soil assessment in two provinces, including: + Technical inputs on the field-based survey methodology, lab-based analysis methodology, and results + Review the application of 2019 and 2020’s technical recommendations on methods and findings to 2021’s assessment + Review and verify the completed work on soil analysis with the risk of encountering hazardous ASS; soil nutrients; and sediment load of completed aquaculture facilities - Review and update the Erosion Control Sediment Framework of the GCF Project, including: + The provision of guidance to develop the site-specific erosion control plans and social and environmental compliance plans for the GCF Project + The development of additional checklists or easy-to-use monitoring tools to promote full and effective adherence to the social and environmental safeguards, and mitigate mangrove related risks associated with the GCF Project Procurement Notice with enclosed TOR and evaluation criteria are in the attached files.
