Overview

The Spotlight Initiative in Jamaica is looking to engage an individual consultant to strengthen the technical capacity of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and its Proactive Violence Intervention System (PVIS) system to establish a comprehensive Early Warning Alert & Response System (EWARS) to detect, prevent and respond to violence including violence against women and girls. Primary focus will be placed on training of JCF members and community violence interrupters in the areas of Conflict Early Warning and Detection, Proactive Violence Interruption and; Response and Prevention.

The consultant will report directly to the Officer in Charge, Programmes Unit. However, day-today management of the consultancy will be led by the Spotlight Programme Officer and technical officers of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
