| Overview : UNDP in Zambia is in the process of upgrading a new Cisco IP Telephony Communication System. Implementations include 120 hard phones which would be complimented by use of soft phones (Jabber) in accordance to UNDP’s global ICT Unified Communications solution requirements. The Infrastructure Roadmap recognizes that the value of integrating telephony, video conferencing, email, calendaring, text messaging, awareness of state (presence), mobility, telecommuting, and other forms of collaboration would bring significant efficiency gains to UNDP. This includes migration to an enhanced and interoperable telephony platform. This project entails implementation of Cisco IP telephony using bill of material listed in this RFP Annex B. This bill-of-materials was prepared in collaboration with Cisco Systems after extensive consultancy with UNDP. The estimated number of users is 120. In this regard, UNDP kindly requests your quotation for CISCO IP Telephone Upgrade installation and Integration as detailed in Annex 1 of this RFQ attached.
