Overview :

UNDP Vietnam is seeking for 01 National Consultant as a Senior Urban Expert on Urban Policy Advocacy for UN-HABITAT

(Ref. 3-220201)

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-Habitat, is the UN agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all. UN-Habitat Vietnam office operates number of projects in the areas of urban governance, climate change, urban planning with national and sub-national institutions supporting Vietnam to achieve Sustainable Development Goals and implement New Urban Agenda. The project “Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building Program for Urban Development in Vietnam (ISCBP)” is financed by Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) for technical assistance and capacity development. The main goal of this project is to strengthen capacities of national and local institutions to promote, plan and implement innovative and participatory solutions for sustainable urban development in Vietnam.  

The ISCB Senior Urban Expert will be responsible for providing technical advice and guidance to implement the project activities to achieve the project objectives which includes technical facilitation to high-level policy dialogues on urban planning and development, facilitating the partnership between the Project’s implementing partners and other Government agencies e.g., the Central Economic Commission, Committees of the National Assembly, and other policy advocacy for project activities.

The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations. Interested individual consultants must submit the following documents/information (in English, PDF Format):

  1. Curriculum vitae with copies of required certifications;
  2. Signed Letter to UNDP Confirming Interest and Availability (Annex IV)
  3. Signed Financial Offer (Annex V)

Submissions should be sent by email toluu.ngoc.diep@undp.org no later than the submission deadline.

Submission email should indicate the tender’s reference number with subject line as per instructed. After submitting proposal, bidder should send notification by email (without attachment) to: procurement.vn@undp.org informing that the bidder has submitted proposal. UNDP will not be responsible for the missing of proposal if the bidder does not follow the instructions nor send notification email to above address.

Submission deadline: Sunday, 20 February 2022 (Hanoi time)
