Scope of Work
Whereas UNDP ABC has provided the general scope of work for this assignment, the contracted consultant is expected to propose a plausible approach for undertaking this assignment. The scope of the task has two phases; phase one is the preparatory phase for the consultant to wholly immerse and update on the state of play of the Kente value chain innovation project. Phase two is implementation stage.
The project comprises the following three components, and the consultant will be required to deliver only Component One below.
- Component One: Business Skills & Entrepreneurship Training
- Component Two: Capacity enhancement through training of Kente weavers to realize diversified designs and products & branding
- Component Three: Market Access: Branding and marketing of diverse Kente products resulting from the interventions.
The Consultant will perform the following duties:
- Create and monitor training schedule and progress on training.
- Keep a systematic and updated record of training curriculum and materials as well as attendance sheets and progress reports of trainees.
- Assess trainees’ capacity and grade as per their quality and performance.
- Update every trainee’s progress and document details of all exercises.
- Ensure the availability of resources for the provision of interventions to keep weaving operations going.
- Maintain standard working practices and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly planned efficiency
