Dear Sir / Madam:
UNDP works in about 170 countries and territories, helping to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities and exclusion, and build resilience so countries can sustain progress. We advocate for change and connect countries to knowledge, experience, and resources to help people build a better life. As the UN’s development agency, UNDP plays a critical role in helping countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
Drawing on the diversity of UNDP’s client needs and partnerships, the Office of Human Resources (OHR) is the hub for the global HR function for UNDP, providing strategy, policy setting, guidance, and oversight. In addition, OHR provides a broad range of HR advisory and talent management services enabling UNDP to deliver fully integrated development solutions at corporate level. In this context, OHR is focused on the implementation of an ambitious and forward-looking strategy, People for 2030, which progressively transforms UNDP’s culture and enables its workforce capacity to deliver more and better results. Through the People for 2030 Strategy, OHR aims to be at the leading edge of HR in the international development sector by developing high quality and innovative human resources solutions and driving transformation across UNDP.
UNDP’s HR function is made of professionals with a remarkably diverse profile; coming from and located all over the world, with a broad range of academic backgrounds and experiences. To ensure the delivery of consistent, modern, high quality human resources management and development services, UNDP is looking for a high-profile partner to deliver training and certification solutions to strategically upskill selected professionals.
Similar needs exist in other agencies of the United Nations System. UNDP intends to collaborate with interested agencies, opening access to the long-term agreements set up with the vendor, to further the scope and impact of this training and certification initiative.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) hereby invites you to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to be part of a short list of HR Professional Training and Certification providers that will be invited to submit proposals in a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the above-referenced subject.
The full application should be submitted online through the e-tendering system. Submissions through email will not be accepted.
It shall remain your responsibility to ensure that your Expression of Interest is submitted on or before the deadline indicated by UNDP in the eTendering system. The vendors shall bear any and all costs related to the preparation and/or submission of the EOI.
