Delivery of a sustainability report which provides details on how the savannah forests/woodlands will be able to maintain sustainable productive landscapes in order to ensure that communities receive sufficient income to cover the costs plus additional profits to support better livelihoods beyond the project lifespan.

This will include;

  1. The financial sources and agreements to fund the CREMA (community resource management area) funds during and after the Project completion;
  2. Details of agreements between the Forestry Commission and Global Shea Alliance to use their committed resources and to provide further support to sustain the shea landscapes after the Completion Date; and
  3. An economic analysis of the opportunities to sustain income generation by communities including accurate costs for maintaining shea plantations (once shea trees have been planted through the restoration efforts) in the landscape) and viability of the modified taungya system to deliver community income from tree sales.

The report should demonstrate how the savannah forests/woodlands will maintain the status of sustainable productive landscapes which ensure that communities receive sufficient income to cover the costs plus additional profits to support better livelihoods after the project is ended and in order.

The analysis should propose financial options to ensure the sustainability of the Project interventions after the Project completion. This analysis should be done in a participatory manner with communities to ensure a bottom up approach.
