Overview :

UNDP is seeking two media organizations to regularly monitor human rights developments at the GBV and Juvenile Court and advocate for gender-responsive, rights-based, and transparent trial processes for GBV survivors in Juba. Successful applicants will be trained on human rights standards and monitoring, advocacy skills to deliver rights focused and victim centered activities, and administration of justice for gender crimes, and will be required to produce and disseminate forward looking periodic and annual reports for addressing the challenges identified through their monitoring activities. 

OBJECTIVES AND EXPECTED OUTPUTS/ DELIVERABLES 

Applicants are requested to submit their proposals as potential grant implementers in Juba.  The main objective of the grant is to identify two Media organizations with operational presence and capacities in Juba to do the following:

  1. Regularly monitor human rights developments at the GBV and Juvenile Court in Juba.
  2. Advocate for gender-responsive, rights-based, and transparent trial processes by the Court.
  3. Produce and disseminate to the GBV and Juvenile Court as well as UNDP, forward looking periodic and annual reports for addressing the challenges identified through the monitoring exercises.
  4. Attend spaces to discuss progress at the GBV and Juvenile Court including the Court Users Committee.
