| Overview : UNDP is looking for 01 International consultant to develop training material and conduct training workshops for prison officials on international law and good practices on the rights of imprisoned persons. The general objective is strengthen awareness, engagement, and capacity of officials in charge of management, education and rehabilitation of imprisoned persons on how to strengthen the rights of persons in imprisonment. The activities of the National Consultant aim to contribute to the assurance of the rights of prisoners in Viet Nam in line with national regulations and good practices, as well as international commitments and human rights standards. Specific objectives and output are: - To produce training materials that map the current provisions and regulations of Vietnamese law and good practices related to ensuring the rights of prisoners and providing recommendations for further measures to be taken to mitigate the risks of violation of the rights of persons in prison under the current regulatory framework and practices.
- To conduct three (3) one-day training workshops, in close cooperation with the International Consultant, for prison officials and leaders to disseminate current domestic and international provisions, commitments and good practices regarding protection of the rights of prisoners, using interactive training exercises.
The consultant will be responsible for delivering the following two main products: - Deliver a set of material (in English) disseminating the provisions of international law and good practices on the rights of prisoners
- In close collaboration with the National Consultant, participate as trainer in three (3) one-day training workshops for prison officials and leaders
