UNDP is seeking a qualified training institution or center with advanced knowledge in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Management to develop and conduct a ToT training programme tailored for World Bank (WB) safeguard standards and requirements. The overall objective of the training course is to build capacity for participants on preparation, supervision and management of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment/Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESIA/ESMP) more effectively and to meet the requirements of the World Bank’s principles and standards. This will help to improve the institutional and technical capabilities of Environmental and Social Safeguards specialists, managers and Professional Project DocuSign Envelope ID: 7A926B58-EB14-4656-B6D2-7B66FDE1A168 Management Unit from UNDP- Yemen and Partners from the Social Fund for Development (SFD) and Public Workers Project (PWP) and SMEPs and other partners. To ensure better delivery, implementation and reporting on Social and Environmental Safeguards of the subprojects that are implemented under the collaboration of the WB, UNDP project and the IP. A total of 30 trainers must be trained and certified as ToT certified trainers for the training material developed. 2. Specific objective The two TOT training program should be adapted to the specific WB/UNDP requirements and should achieve the following specific objectives: - To deepen the understanding and knowledge about the environmental and social impact Assessment approaches and steps; - To master knowledge and understanding on the participatory approaches and techniques to be able to train field staff to apply these techniques during public consultations, need assessments and ESIA; - To widen understanding and knowledge on several issues regarding to Grievance Response Mechanism, Occupation, Health and Safety and mitigation measures; and - To provide information and training sessions on environmental and social management framework, including planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting according to WB and UNDP procedures and standards The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) hereby invites you to submit a Proposal to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the above-referenced subject.
