UNDP Kazakhstan is prolonging a vacancy for the UNODC position of 

IC-2022-113 National Consultant (drug use epidemiology)

For detailed information on the position, please refer to the attached Terms of Reference and Procurement Notice.

Duty station: Home based

The following documents in PDF format should be attached to your offer and sent to email address procurement.kz@undp.org  with reference to IC-2022-113 in the subject line no later than 10:00 (Astana time) on October 28, 2022.

  • A duly completed and signed letter of interest and readiness to work according to the template provided by UNDP (Annex 4);
  • Financial proposal in local currency (Kazakhstani tenge), which indicates the fixed total cost of the contract with a breakdown of costs in accordance with the UNDP template (Annex 5).

If the Applicant is employed by an organization/company/institution and he/she expects his/her employer to charge a management fee during his/her transfer to UNDP under a Reimbursable Loan Agreement (RLA), the Applicant must indicate this item and make sure that all such costs are duly included in the financial proposal submitted to UNDP.

  • Detailed personal CV in English, indicating all past experience from similar projects, as well as the contact details (email and telephone number) of the candidate to confirm:
    • At least 10 years of continuous professional experience in public health, epidemiology, drug use research;
    • At least 5 years of specific experience in drug use epidemiology (IBBS, in particular);
    • Professional experience in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asian region on similar assignments shall be an advantage;
    • Proficiency in English language;
    • knowledge of Russian shall be a strong advantage;
  • Copies of higher education diplomas and other documents confirming work experience, knowledge and skills (certificates of advanced training, awards, etc.).
  • Methodology describing which approach will be applied and how the task will be performed. Proposed methodology on implementation of the high-risk drug use survey.

Important Note: Technical and Financial Proposals must be submitted in separate PDF files (Annexes 4 and 5)

There should be max 3 e-mail transmissions. Please indicate Ref. IC-2022-113 in the e-mail subject and the e-mail order.
