| Overview : BACKGROUND: The Solomon Islands Electoral Commission and Office (SIEC/0) recently updated the biometric voter registration roll for Choiseul and Wester Province in preparation for their Provincial Assembly elections which will go to the polls on 14 December 2022. These BVR update for just two Provinces has revealed to the SIEC/O the need for a stand-alone operations centre in Honiara as office space in the SIEO is limited with the increase of staff. Furthermore, with limited economical funding, to rent an operations centre is currently not viable due to the Government is concentrating financial resources on the Pacific games. Thus, the request for SECSIP to support in turning the storage container on site at the SIEO premises into an operations BVR centre as they prepare for the NGE 2024. To have an operations centre is vital as an updated BVR roll ensures that new eligible voters are registered to cast their vote in the coming national general elections 2024. Furthermore, deceased voters can be removed and voters who have moved to reside in another constituency can amend their registration details. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is to solicit for suppliers to convert the container storage within the office, into an office block to be used as the SIEO-Operation Centre, (SIEO-OC).
